Day 16- May 4 (Insanity & P90x) & FOOD
The Insanity fit test is BANANAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are my statistics from the fit test
Switch Kicks: 55

Power Knees: 80
Power Jumps: 16
Globe Jumps: 7
Suicide Jumps: 7
Push-up Jacks: 14
Low planks obliques: 34
Lord knows, this fit test was so very hard. I NEVER- EVER sweat so hard during a workout (and that says a lot considering the fact that I used to go to the gym 3-4 hours per day). After doing Insanity- P90x felt like a cake walk. LOL
P90x today was chest/back. I pushed myself really hard and increase a lot of my numbers. I am completely pooped right now. Ab ripper X was a killer- as usual. I'm working very hard on building my stamina in this routine. My lower back starts hurting so much during the 1st 3 moves (in & outs and bicycles-forward & backward). I have to work on that.

3. Banana
4. Spanish rice w/ BBQ chicken (skinless thigh) and 2 C of garden salad

Layta.
May 1st- (week 2 complete)
Today marks the day of the end of week 2. Week 3- here I come. I'm getting myself into more workout hell w/ Insanity and P90x. Yes ladies and gents- I'm stepping my game up a little bit more. I'm determined to have results in the next 90 days. LOL. I had Kenpo today and it was GREAT. I burned 750 calories and my heart rate was between 70-85%. Right where I needed it to be. However, I think I may have pulled a muscle in the back of my thight/butt area. I keep getting this funny pain feeling. I can't really put my finger on it. I'm just hoping a good stretche will get the kinks out.
I forgot to mention that I purchased a fat analysis scale. It tells you your muscle mass, body fat, weight and water weight. Well, long story short- I am 48% fat. :(. Needless to say- I will be working my ass off in order to change that number. LOL.
Until tomorrow.. have a great night/day/weekend. :-)
Anywho!!! Today was a great day.

Jumpin' over a hurdle
Ok guys, this morning I was feeling like CRAP!!! I was so pissed off that I didn't lose any weight that I allowed my anger get the best of me. I completely put aside the fact that I have energy at 5am when it's time to work out. I put aside the fact that I did Yoga X and kicked butt. I put aside the fact that my sister told me that my biceps are getting hard (just after a week of working out). I put aside the fact that I've increased the amount of push ups and tricep dips I can do at one time in a matter of 1 week. I put aside the fact that I felt great, with all the soreness from working my ass off. I put aside the fact that I wasn't lethargic anymore and now I'm energized. All of these things were thrown out the window b/c of the fact that I didn't see a difference on the scale. SMH.
Angry, Mad & Miserable......
AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Now I know what you're going to say " you probably built muscle".... Shit!!! I know that- but my mind is programmed to think about the numbers on the scale. I know now, that I definitely need to purchase a fat calculator- that way my efforts wouldn't feel so useless.
So instead of working on my legs & back- I'm blogging about my frustrations- b/c this shit just doesn't seem fair. *sigh* I'm going to start getting ready for work now. Layta

Day 9- Plyometrics & Personal Motivation Whoo- hoo!!
In reading the blogs today- I read how people have all sorts of motivation. For instance, I have about 6 bikinis (I mean sexified beautiful bikinis) in my closet. I also have some clothing that are in my ideal size 6. FYI- I purchased all items on clearance rack- none of these items were more than $5 each. Anywho- I was wondering- what are some other things people use in order to motivate themselves and if it can work for me.
Well- that's all for today- Peace!!!!

Day 8- Chest & Back
Ok, today was my initiation into week 2. Oh my goodness, I completely forgot how hard chest/back was. I worked my ass off tonight. I was sweating and a huffin' and a puffin'. LOL. But I made it. I'm not going to post my stats until week 4. This way I'll be able to see whether or not I've improved as time progressed. I know that tomorrow morning when I wake up for Plyo- I will be aching from this work out. Whew!!! You know what really killed me today? The dive bombers. My arms were shaking like a rattle snake. I could barely keep my self up. I'm still trying to figure out how those folks on the video can do 20 or more. SMH- well by day 90 I plan on keeping up with the P90x Jones'. Ladies!!! don't be afraid to lift heavier weights- it will tone you up and make you sexy, sexy, SEXY!!!

Day 7- Woo Hoo!!!!!
I've officially completed 1 full week of P90x. Today (Sunday) I completed the Yoga X routine. Now earlier this week I said I didn't like it- but, I stand corrected. I enjoyed my Yoga today. I think it was perfect for me to do it on Sunday- b/c it's my resting/relaxing day and that's exactly what Yoga did. Don't get me wrong, I was sweating and shaking from head to toe but- I felt so relaxed and at ease. FYI: my body isn't as sore as it was yesterday- YAY!
In other news, I decided to purchase the INSANITY program. Now I know you're probably saying- damn son, your crazy, but, I have a goal in mind and I'm going to do everything within my power to make it happen. I'm thinking that I'll probably do both routines- P90x in the AM and INSANITY in the PM. We'll see what happens. If I burn out, I'll re-evaluate the situation and take it from there. Hey- you know the saying "go hard or go home"
Today I had the following
1. Scrambled eggs(2), turkey bacon (2), 100 calorie WW bread
2. whey protien shake (chocolate) w/ ff milk
3. saltfish w/ stringed beans and dhal (leftovers)
4. nutrigran bar
And lets not forget.... tons of water.
So tomorrow starts week 2. Again I have chest & back w/ ARX.
Wish me luck.

Day 6!!! Saturday
My diet was also a challenge for me. I guess in the last 5 days it has been easy for me to stick with a diet b/c I organize my food and pack it for work. But on the weekends I am constantly faced w/ a challenge to keep on the healthy side. With that being said- this is my food log:
Breakfast: Chicken Salad w/ crackers (left overs from Friday)
Snack: Fiber One Bar
Lunch: 1 cup brown rice w/ stringed beans and saltfish w/ dhal (stew split peas)
Snack: 1/2 bagel w/ natural peanut butter
Dinner: Turkey Burger w/ tons of veggies.
I know- it's not the best but, at least I didn't go running to Wendy's like I really wanted to. So I accomplished something.
Sunday I will be pushing play 2x with Yoga X & Stretch X to try and get these kinks out of my body.
Pushing Play :-)
