Day 7- Week 1 Complete + SHAKEOLOGY

Hey Everyone!

Day 7 is in the bag. Week 1 of Insanity is COMPLETE !!!!!emoticon It's still taking me some time to get adjusted, but someone told me that it takes 30 days to create a habit and 90 days to make it a lifestyle. I still got a ways to go.

In other news..... I got my SHAKEOLOGY. Yup! I purchased the pack w/ both chocolate and greenberry. So I decided to jump right in and start my 3-Day Shakeology Cleanse.

On today's menu....
Breakfast
1. Green Tea
2. Greenberry Shakeology w/ Ice & 20 oz of water


Snack
1. Peach 


Lunch
1. Chocolate Shakeology
2. Green Tea
 

Snack 2
Kiwi
 

Dinner
1. Large Garden Salad w/ Grilled Fish.

Don't forget... the 2 Liters of Water.


For those of you who don't know- the shakeology cleanse is 3 days in which you consume 1200 calories per day. It's difficult b/c you are only consuming 3 shakes a day & salad. When you're body is accustomed to eating the not so healthy foods.

So here's the basics:
3 Shakeology Shakes per day
2 Cups of Green Tea
1-2 pieces of fruit per day. Eat fruit between breakfast, lunch & dinner (optional)
1 Salad for dinner (can include fish or poultry)
No dairy (no soy, rice or almond milk)
Drink 2-4 liters of water per day
Low fat dressing (2 TBS only)

It is strongly advised that you don't participate in the shakeology cleanse while doing Insanity or P90X. Light- moderate exercise is acceptable. 


Side Note: I plan on continuing my Insanity, but I'll be doing everything on a lower impact- moderate pace

So if you are getting started or even if you're in a recovery week or maybe you hit a plateau- try the Shakeology cleanse.

Day 5 & 6 Done!

Hey Guys, 

Sorry for the 3 day delay. I just wanted to let you know that I have been pushing play and keeping focused on my fitness journey.  

Day 5 (Monday)
Cardio Recovery
Calories Burned: 525
I hit Cardio Recovery.  It was of course "easier" than the previous 2 workouts- but please believe me when I say I was sweating my fat off. LOL.  

Day 6 (Tuesday)
Pure Cardio
Calories Burned: 738
OMG!  I absolutely love this workout. I can't find the words that I want to say. It's absolutely CRAZY. 

Now keep in mind that I have a lot of things going on and I'm extemely busy & tired. But the one thing that keeps me going is my motivation. I don't care how long or hard the task is going to be- I will do it. My mind is made up and I'll be damned to look back 60 days from now saying- "awww man- I shoulda coulda and woulda".  Instead I want to look back on this 63 day journey and say- "I DID IT AND I'M SO FREAKIN' HAPPY"

I'm setting mini goals for myself.  I'm trying to build up my stamina in Insanity so I can complete the warm ups without stopping. Then I want to build myself up to be able to complete 1 full round w/o stopping and slowly building on that. 

FYI- for those of you who don't know- in the Insanity workouts-  each set of workouts have 3 rounds (moderate, fast & hyper speed).

How are your workouts going?  What's new and improved on your end?  Do you have any mini goals set? If not- set your mini goals- post them in your gym/mirror/fridge and keep reminding yourself that YOU CAN DO IT.

Hey Guys, 


Today I didn't push play.  No excuses- just facts.  I went to my bed last night with every intention of waking up this morning to push play to Insanity at 8 AM, immediately followed by a shower and a nice church service.  Oh, but that did not happen.  Instead I woke up at 7 and was informed that I needed to go pick up some friends who were coming over to help lay concrete in my backyard.  *Sigh*


Now this was very necessary because we're planning a big event that's supposed to take place in the next couple of weeks. So instead of starting my day with an hour of Insanity, I ended up taking a 40 minute drive to get some friends.   Just to make this fast, I left my house at 8AM and returned at 5PM.  We had a bunch of errands to run before the work could even start.  Since I got home, I ran back to home depot two times. I've been on my feet cooking and cleaning for the bunch of people who are here and right before I sat down to post this - I ate some food- YES!  It was clean- grilled chicken w/ garden salad  (fyi- this was all I ate for the day). 


So, considering all the lifting, packing and unpacking I did today, I think I got a decent workout in.  But not an Insane one.  Well- these things happen.  Don't feel discouraged if you miss a day due to circumstances out of your control.  Just press the next day and you'll be fine.

Oh yeah,  don't forget to enjoy what's left of summer. Before we know it- we'll be raking leaves and shoveling snow :(  I'm not looking forward to that at all.  LOL.

539 Calories Burned!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys, 

I post this a day late..... Sorry!  I pressed play today (saturday). Yyyyyaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! Keep in mind that I was dog tired. I had very little sleep and I had tons of things to do for this weekend. I was tired before the day officially began.  Now with that said, I got up around 8 AM and pushed play to some good ole Shaun T.  I thought Troy would have joined me today, however, he decided to play dead in bed.  So I did my workout all by my lonesome.  It was rather refreshing I must say.  It brought me back to my memories of when I first started Insanity.  


Power Cardio & Resistance is no joke. LOL. I completely forgot how difficult these workouts are.  the V- push ups, the tricep dips, in and outs and lets not forget the last move- 8 squats & 8 pushups. Woooooo Hooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You really have to dig deep when you're doing that last set. Your body is saying "No, I can't! I'm tired! I'm done!"  But your heart & mind is saying " Keep going! You can do it! You got this! Shaun T aint got nothing on you!"  I've quickly fell back in love with Insanity. It's absolutely a great workout. 


I ate clean today. No bad choices and I had some really great meals.  How did you guys do today?  Did you push play? Eat Clean?  Start a new routine?  Well whatever you did- I'm here to support and encourage you.

Day 2- Plyo CC

Good Night Ladies, Gents & Guests, 


Today was day 2. I pushed play to some Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit and got my ass handed to me by Shaun T. LOL.  I burned 600+ calories today.  


To be completely honest with you guys- I forgot how crazy these workouts are. I knew that they were hard and mad you sweat- but I completely forgot HOW HARD YOU WORK AND HOW DEEP YOU DIG.  Whoa baby!!!!


Today was ultra special, fun and entertaining for me because for the 1st time, my Troy, my fiance, did the workouts with me.  LOL. It was pure comedy. Don't get me wrong, he did really well. He stayed in it for as long as he could- but he still has a little way to go.  We were so busy huffing and puffing, that we ran out of water. LOL. Over all the workout was extremely enjoyable. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the muscle and skin pain and aches were immediate. I went for a quick drive and when it was time for me to get out of the car, I felt like an 80 year old woman. I was moaning and growning and holding my knees. SMH.  It's clear that I have some work to do. 


I took out Troy's day 1 photos and I'll be posting them this weekend (I hope).  I will post my before pics as well. Hey why not????

Day 1- FIT TEST!!!!!!!!!!

Ok- 2 days later and I'm finally focused.  


I had all intentions of pushing play on Wednesday as I originally stated, however I came home to a house full of friends and there was no way on earth I could work out in front of them. LOL.  So I had to push it back into today. Long story short, I went to bed at 3 AM this morning. 


Now today, I was determined to push play.  Even though I was "dog tired", I went to work, came home and took a nap. LOL.  Popped out of bed 2 hours later and guess what....... I PUSHED PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


My fiancĂ© was right there with me... pushing me .... encouraging me.... and cheering me on.  I love this man. 
My other man, Shaun T,  was too busy kicking my ass- LOL.  So here goes my stats......

I'm BBBBAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!


After a long hiatus of absolute bliss, I am officially back on  track and ready to take Insanity by storm.....AGAIN!!!!!!!


This time, things will be a little different.  If you haven't noticed I changed the title of my blog from "Insanity!!! Browne Bomshell to Bikini Beauty" to "COACH Browne Bombshell's Journey to Size 6". 


That's right!! I'm officially a beachbody coach. Now I've been toying and thinking about this for a long, long time. Constantly going back and forth with myself. I've talked to a bunch of different coaches and I kept getting the same answer...... JUST DO IT.   


Well, if there was one thing my teachers always said about me, is that I pay attention and I listen well... so here I am following instructions and I'm DOING IT!!! I'm a BEACHBODY COACH.  Now many people, myself included,  felt that you need to be a size 5 to be a coach.  Well Hell!!! I'm hear to tell you that  I'm not a size 5 (add 11 and you'll have my size). I'm hear to tell you that I'm a coach b/c I want to help and encourage you all- just like you've encouraged me when I slipped, fell and completely abandoned my fitness.  So I'm here to say that I'm back and ready to take this fitness to the next level.  


This time around- it's a little different because I am traveling on the road to fitness with my future husband.  Let the madness begin!!!!!!!!


So come work out with me, check me out daily- b/c I will keep you posted.  Wednesday, August 4 will be............ Fit Test #1 with Insanity.  Lets see how well we do.

What Day Is It?

What day is  it?

OMG- I've been rippin' and running since my fiancĂ©es arrival that I'm completely off my game.  I haven't  pushed play since last Friday.  I'm so upset. It's not that I don't want to work out b/c I do miss Shaun T. But I've been waking up really early and going to bed really late and I haven't had the energy to work out with Shaun T.

I will keep you guys updated on what is going on. I will be starting my Max Month over again. I'm determined to finish this progam.

Day 39 Rest Day & 40 Max Recovery

Hey Guys, 


So I've had a lot going on in my little world. So many things have recently changed. 


For this entire week I have been running on very little sleep- still I manage to wake up and push play every day.  But on Thursday, June 24th,  I couldn't wake up if my life depended on it.  I got exactly 4 hours of sleep and there was just no way I would be able to function and focus on the workouts. So Day 39 was my rest day. 


On a personal note, Day 39 is the day I've been waiting for.. for a very long time.  The love of my life arrived at Newark Airport at 9 PM and he's here to stay... YAY!! I'm so very happy to have him here and share the rest of my life with him. That's another reason why I didn't work out on day 39... I needed to reserve my energy for the "horizontal activities". LMAO. 


So I woke up this morning, Day 40 feeling fully rested and energized.  I got up and pushed play- even though all I wanted to do is curl up in bed w/ my baby, I knew that I had to get focused. So I hopped out of bed and into my workout gear and pushed play on my Max Recovery workout.  MR was no joke. Just like Cardio Recovery, it had me working really hard. You have to focus on your form and try to do as much as you can. I really enjoyed this workout. My fiancĂ©e even came in and encouraged me a little bit. LOL. 


So I'm back on track- and I'll be completing Max Month- week 1 on Sunday.  Tomorrow I have Max IC.  I'm ready ready ready.

Day 38- Cardio Max

Hey people. 

So I'm super duper late with posting about my workout today.  So lets start at the beginning. 

1. I slept through my daggon' alarm- it was on vibrate for some reason which really ticks me off.  I woke up at 5:30 and rushed to push play. 

2. I started Cardio Max and I tried to put my all into it- but I was working with 4 hours of sleep and my body wasn't cooperating. 

3. Cardio Max is hard core- In the time that I started working out there were no breaks. Thats right- NO BREAKS. 

4. Now like I said, I was running off of 4 hours of sleep and I knew that I wouldn't be able to workout tonight- so I tried to push as hard as I could.  Long story short I stopped at 25 minutes into the workout.  I had to get ready for work (but I ended up late- Beachbody owes me some money-lol)

I enjoyed the Max Cardio workout that I did. It had me sweating up a storm. I  burned 345 calories in 25 minutes. I'm so sure that I would have burned more had I continued. 

Just so you guys know, I will try to post  daily as promised, however, I'm expecting my fiancĂ©e to come home  (after a very LONG time) so I have a lot of running around to do to prepare for his arrival. :-)

Day 37- Max Plyo...

Why- Oh Why is this workout so crazy? I've never done so many pushups in my life. LOL. 


Ok, so we start off with the Max Warm Up. It's definitely harder & more draining than the Month 1 warm up.  Max warm up includes: run, straight arm jumping jacks, arms out high needs, s-s jump rope, s-s floor jumps, switch kicks (that's right I said switch kicks), hit the floors, 123 heisman and I'm sure I'm forgeting something- but you get the idea. 


After this warm up and the oh so lovely 30 second break we go into a 5 minute stretch- well today my friends- that stretch felt like torture b/c I'm still soar from yesterday's workout.  


Now after he stretch we go into the intervals- I'm running short on time so I'll just give you the short version- there are a bunch of daggon push ups in this video.  There are squat push ups, 1 legged v pushups (very hard btw),  power push ups (I can't do this at all), and last but definitely not the least- balance push ups.  My arms are going to be on FIYAH!!!!!!!!!! ALL DAY LONG. 


Today I burned ove 850 calories. It was a great work out- great sweat and a lot of praying- b/c I need Jesus to help me through this one. I really wanted to cut the work out short- but I kept going. One thing I really enjoyed about this video is that the people working out were really encouraging each other to keep going- hence, it encouraged me to keep going to. 


So for all of you who are thinking about skipping your workout or you have too much to do... If you have time to read this blog, other blogs & the BB threads- you sure as hell got enough time to push play. So what are you waiting for??????  Get outta here and go work your butt off.  LOL

Day 36- MAX IC- WHOA!

Good Max Morning  People!  


I can't get into great details right now regarding my Max IC workout- but I just wanted to let you all know that ...


I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!  I completed my 1s max month workout and I feel FANTABULOUS. Hahaha. 


I want to give yo an idea of how hard I worked this morning........ I burned 976 calories in 53 minutes (I'm 100% sure I burned 1000 calories- but I forgot to start my HR/calorie monitor when I started working out.

Day 35- FIT TEST #3 DONE!!!!!

What? What's that you said? 


I said.... FIT TEST #3 is DONE.   OMG- first of all, let me tell you- I went into this fit test absolutely ready and motivated to kick some serious butt.  I started of strong, however, right after the Power Jumps- I pulled a muscle in my left calf-so I had to take a quick 2 minute break to try to work out the kinks.  So let me give you the specs of my Test :-)

Day 35- Recovery Week is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I completed recovery week and worked up a mean old sweat. I was smelling funky- hahahaha.

Ok, so tomorrow I will be doing fit test #3. Whoa! I'm so excited to attack this damn workout.

Day 34- Recovery Week ALMOST Over

Hey Guys, 


I swear this week flew by with a blink of an eye. I promised myself I would enjoy this "recovery" week and take it easy before Month 2 comes and kick my butt into another universe- but low and behold... God had other plans for me and I've been rippin' and runnin' all week long. *sigh* Anyways- I completed my Core Cardio & Balance workout.  I got my heart rate up and the sweat started dripping- however- I kind of miss the days (the last 4 weeks) where I was panting and dying for breath within the 1st 5 minutes.  LOL


I have a relaxing day ahead of me... I get off of work early today so I plan on coming home and relaxing. 


I think I may do another round of Insanity once I'm done w/ this one ( I still have 4 weeks to decide) but I'm afraid that I might get bored!!!! Is it possible- to be bored w/ Insanity?????? I don't know.  Only time will tell.  Have a great Friday people.

Day 32 & 33- Core Cardio & Balance

I have to admit.... I really enjoy this workout.  I thought I was going to get bored w/ the routine- but I just focus on getting better & lasting longer through each move. It's not as hard as the month 1 workouts- but I'm definitely burning calories and sweating my fat off. LOL.  I'm feeling really good today.

Everyone should already know that I'm scared- so very scared of Month 2. My friends keep posting their pain and agony on facebook. SMH!!! I even toughened up and viewed one of the workouts. LOL- all I can say is- I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to do this in the mornings- but I'll try my hardest (fyi- I hate PM workouts b/c when I get home all I want to do is relax, catch up on reading and work on my business)

Coming up is Fit test Sunday!!!  I was advised by multiple  peolple to avoid doing the F.T & Max IC on the same day- so I will be wise and listen to the experts. LOL.  I'm interested to see if my numbers went up for the fit test... I really hope so b/c the last test I got mixed results.

Well guys... word on the street is that the much anticipated Turbo Fire is available NOW.  If you're interested go get your copy (you can get me one too- lol).

So what are my plans for my post Insanity life????? I don't know- I was thinking about doing Turbo Fire- but then again- I might do 1 more round of Insanity and then get T.F?  I have P90x- but that's staying on the shelf until I lose at least 50lbs.  Any suggestions?

Day 29, 30, & 31- Plyo & Cardio Core & Balance

Hey people.

Sorry for the 2-day delay on my  postings. I have been dealing with some personal matters that  recently ended in an extra positive way.  So I'm back to posting......j

Sunday, Day 29- Plyo CC- of course it was torture: drills, in & outs, ski abs, mountain climbers, jump squats- oh every single thing hurts. LOL. But I loved it b/c it was my last day of Month 1.  Yay

Monday & Tuesday, Day 30 & 31- My 1st day at Cardio Core & Balance- Really? This is what Shaun considers "rest".  LOL. I was sweating just as hard  as I was during the 1st month. Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I may have to mix in some P90x cardio X,  X stretch or Yoga just to break up the monotony.

Ok regarding the food- there are some desserts that I am planning on making later on this week. Just to satisfy this sweet tooth. LOL. Now regarding the meals- there is a LONG shopping list of things that I would need to purchase- that's not a problem, however, my fridge/freezer is currently stuffed with healthy foods that I will need to get rid of before jumping into the new menu.  But trust me- when I start his new menu- in the next week or two- it will be so worth the wait.   I'll probably post some of the recipes that I'm planning on using- maybe we can experiment together. =)

Day 27- Pure Cardio aka Pure Hell

Hey guys, 


Whew! I just got home from a busy day of running around. I'm tired. I almost forgot to post my blog today. SMH. 


Well this morning I woke up at 6 AM to do my work out. Thats right- 6 AM on a Saturday morning. This is my way of keeping my body on schedule.  Of course you know the drill with Pure Cardio- its no joke. I pushed, dug, screamed & suffered through that bad boy. Then on to Cardio Abs. Thank you God- for making Shaun T- who created this video- that will give me ABS!!!!!! Cardio abs is no joke- I was shaking & quivering during this work out. I really have to work on my core strength.  


All in all I had a great work out.  I will be weighing in  & posting my video blog tomorrow- after I'm well rested and complete my Day 28 workout.  


Also, I went out and purchased a couple of food magazines & and I've been surfing he net like crazy for some good food ideas. Keep an eye out for my "hungry belly" page b/c I'm going to be having some pretty delicious food in the next couple of weeks. LOL.

Day 26- Cardio Recovery

I don't know what it is about Friday- but I always seem to have an extra pep in my step on this day. I guess the thought of a relaxing weekend seems too good to be true. That's because it is. I have so much thing to do this weekend it's CRAZY.

Anyway, I pushed play bright and early this morning and I feel great.  it was Cardio Recovery.... so please tell me why my legs are burning so much.  SMH.  Anywho. I have Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs in the morning. I'm going to try and wake up at 5 AM to get the show on the road. That way I can start and finish my tasks early in the day.

Day 25- Plyo CC

Hey Guys,

I got my workout done today. Woo hoo! I did it this afternoon rather than he morning. I didn't have it in me this morning to get up and workout. Funny enough, I didn't have it in me to workout this afternoon either. LOL. But as soon as I got home, I changed into my workout clothes and pushed play. I was focused.

I pushed extra hard today b/c I had an audience- my sister. She was motivating me then pissed me off when she said I was slowing down. This coming from a woman who refuses to START. LOL. Anywho- she left after her slick comment b/c I had to tell her about herself- but afterwards she said I was doing great.

That made me feel really "swanky" as we like to say in Caribbean.

BIG BIG SHOUT OUT TO FIT MAMA FOR GIVING ME THE LINK TO HER GREAT MEAL PLAN. If I don't get results after eating all this delicious, tasty & HEALTHY FOOD- I will need to see a doctor ASAP. LOL

I'm definitely REVAMPING my diet this weekend. I know I'll be successful with this diet.

Well my peoples- I have Cardio recovery in the AM.
